RISE AS A TRENDSETTER

In this October God is going to make us,  creator of things and as  trendsetter we are going to produce new things for the Lord.  God says in Exodus 31:3–5, “I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.”

God is giving us a spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding and with all kinds of skills through the spirit of God. This is what He has given us when we have become a partner of Jesus Calls. The spirit of God is living within us. As this verse says He is going to give all these skills and all these wisdom and knowledge to make artistic designs, for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stone to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.

Just as in the Biblical days, even today God is going to use us to create new things because the creator is within us. He is going to work to create through us. We are going to create things through the technologies today, create new products and establish companies and businesses through that. We are going to create methods, new processes of doing things, something that people have never thought about, and new ways to help the poor and needy people. And also, new methods to minister to people, new ways of infrastructure, everything through the knowledge and the wisdom and through the skills that God gives.

Who can create new things? It is those who want to do their best and do something special for God.

When we look at ‘Abel, the son of Adam and Eve, he only brought the best of the cattle, fattened of the animals and the best of the fruits to the Lord.’ In the same way whatever talents or skills He has given us, use it in the best way possible and we will create something new and special. When we want to create something special for God, the creativity will flow through God’s spirit within us.

But if we simply follow others and live by worldly ways, we will never think beyond what already exists. “Whatever others are doing, let me do it too. I just want to go home and sleep. I just want my paycheck.” That is a mediocre life. But when we want to do something special for the Lord, in any event, in any service, in any type of work or skill, God will give us new ideas, some new thoughts and the way of doing things.

‘When Noah wanted to do something special for the Lord, when he had the great urge to serve the Lord in the best way possible in his life, God gave him a new revelation of building an ark with specific details. And when David wanted to glorify the Lord through his life, God gave him a beautiful revelation of a glorious temple and showed him how every detail of the temple should be.’

That same grace is coming upon us.

'When I also had the desire to suddenly produce a new song for the Lord because when I was a little child my father and so many other people wrote songs for me, but now I wanted to produce a song for the Lord, from my heart, I wanted it to be a good song, so prayed and  I cried. One evening when I was crying so much ‘give me a new song for You’. It should bless so many people, ‘why don’t you give me a song’, I was battling with Him and the Holy Spirit filled me suddenly and I couldn’t handle it and I started weeping and weeping under the anointing, it was tremendous and just as I was being filled, I saw what I should sing about. Each stanza and words He showed me and as I saw the background behind each stanza I was crying. And in one stretch I wrote that song. It was ‘Avare’, my Tamil song. I just wrote straight away and we just went to produce and film the song. And today so many people hear that song say, I have tears in my eyes whenever I listen or sing this song and so many say it speaks to my situation and I feel God is moving in my life, I keep on worshiping the Lord with it. It brings me so much comfort and joy. Yes, it was the song which the Holy Spirit Himself has graciously given me and it made a great impact and blessed so many lives.’

It will happen to you also my friend. In whatever field that God has kept us, in whatever will and plan He has for our life, in whatever area He has kept us, let us create something new for the Lord to make it a blessing for so many millions of people, to make it as a blessing to society, to make it as blessing to nations. He will give us the grace to create, fill us with His Spirit, His wisdom, knowledge and understanding will come upon us. All kinds of skills will be operated by His spirit within us. He will give a new and creative idea, new thoughts, new revelations from heaven straight from His heart. 

It is time to create something new and great for the Lord. Don't settle for mediocrity. Become a trendsetter. Be a leader in creating, not a follower.
